The original song ‘Livin’ la Vida Loca’ took the world by storm, and the moment I heard it, the idea of “Livin’ on Tapioca’ took root in my mind and just grew. My mom heard me do this song when she was living in a “Senior’s Residence” and she asked me to sing it for everyone there. Yes, they loved it and laughed, but I don’t think any of them knew that it was a parody of the Ricky Martin classic.
The two women in the video are very dear to me, and wonderful nurses in real life.
