Take Your Hands Off My Shoulders

(To the tune: Put Your Head on My Shoulder)

Paul Anka’s song ‘Put Your Head on my Shoulder’ was your prototypical catchy teen-age love song in the pre-feminist days of the early 60’s, where a guy is asking the girl to be his ‘baby’ and give him a kiss.  I’ve taken that song and twisted it around 180º giving it a much-needed modern makeover. And I just couldn’t resist a dig at Harvey Whatzizface.

When my wife saw the video, she said “I’ll never wear that dress again!” The wig is from a musical I wrote and performed where I played a young girl, hence the red ribbon in her hair.
